I’ve been trying and failing to get into a good workout routine while I’ve been injured.
I was doing the bike fairly regularly for a while there, but then I sort of let that drop.
I swam for a bit, but haven’t made it back to the pool, in maybe two weeks.
When the doctor said I could probably try the elliptical last week, I was excited to be able to get a new workout option to work into my routine. I did two really great workouts, but then I was getting concerned that I was making my foot worse or slowing my healing process.
That was the case Tuesday. I had every intention of squeezing in a quick elliptical workout before my fantasy draft, but by the time I got home from work, my foot was sore. It wasn’t a sharp biting pain, but walking around wasn’t comfortable either. So I decided to back off.
I thought maybe I could bump the workout to yesterday morning, but then I woke up and got really worried that maybe I just need to let it rest. I want my foot to heal and maybe the elliptical isn’t really helping things.
As impatient as I am to get back to regular workouts and doing the things I love, maybe I just need to let the bone stimulator do its thing and I need to stay off my feet as much as possible.
I’m over it. #frustrated.
