After my run did not go so well today because of incredibly sore calves and shins, I decided to take some advice from the messages people left on my last post. I stretched for what seems like forever, but in reality was only about 40 minutes. I think I must have done every stretch in the book. And then I found one of those back massager thingys...and tried it out on my calf muscles. I'm not sure if it did any good, but right now as I'm sitting here my calves don't feel quite as tight.
All the same, I'm still glad tomorrow is a cross-training day that way I can rest up the legs and hopefully have a better run on Wed.
(sorry this post is so short, I really hate writing lots of negative posts, so I'm trying to keep it to a minimum. Crossing my fingers so I have happier things to write about soon)

I am glad that the stretching helped your shins. Treat yourself to a professional massage - it really does help with the running.
