Whooo Maryland vs. Duke tonight. 5 p.m. Fox Sports Net. Let's go Terps!
In other news, we're expecting some snow in these parts this week, which would be sweet if we got out of class on Tuesday or maybe had a delay. (Come on ice-y roads and Maryland people being paranoid and not able to handle snow!)
It's still been to freezing for me to get outside to run. So I've been sticking to my indoor workouts. I teach kickboxing on Mondays and then do various other forms of yoga, step, and strength training the rest of the week. I'm hoping in the next week or so the temps will start to warm up a little bit (I'd take mid-30's) so that I can get outside.
My friend just told me she'd really like to run a 5K this spring so I've been hitting up Active.com to look for races in the area. We're thinking perhaps "The Keep Your Colon Rollin'" 5k in Hungtintown, MD. (She liked it a lot because we'd get sweet shirts lol).
Anyway, nothing else too exciting from these parts. So excited about the game tonight!!! Everyone should watch! :o)
It's been a crazy week. The weather's been in the single digits all week with the windchill, so heaven knows I'm not outside anymore than I need to be. I didn't get to the gym as much as usual this week either just because I had meetings and stuff almost every night. The upcoming week looks to be a little bit calmer, more of a chance for me to get to the gym.
Last night we took my roommate to see Disney on Ice in Baltimore for her 21st birthday. Besides the parents we were probably the oldest ones there. It was pretty much all little kids. But we had such a great time anyway!
My other roommate, who is doing a co-op program in Boston this semester, emailed me the other day and I told me I had inspired her to start running. I was really surprised. I mean I knew I did the marathon and everything, but I never really thought my running would rub off on other people. So she's following a plan that's going to build so she can run for 30 minutes straight. I think I've almost got her convinced to run a 5K with me when she gets back to Maryland. She keeps telling me races are scary. I keep telling her running people are some of the nicest people in the world and are super supportive. (as evidenced by all of you!) She's still leary though. So I'm going to keep working on her. I keep trying to bribe her with the free shirts haha.
If anyone has any good, convincing tactics for me be sure to let me know!
Just a really quick post here. I love the Super Bowl both for football and the commercials. Which reminded back in the day when Budweiser used to make some hilarious ones. Found this little gem on YouTube: Remember the Frogs?
