Still thinking about those resolutions...
Still haven't made any progress in the New Year's Resolutions department. Maybe I'm putting too much pressure on myself to come up with the perfect one. I obviously want it to include a big race again. I'm thinking another half marathon. Most likely in the fall because it's easiest for me train in the summer. No idea which one though.
I'm mostly over the soreness from being overzealous at the gym the other day, except for my right hamstring. It's still bothering me. I've actually got a Thermocare on it now. (My mom suggested it after it wasn't going away.) I'm hoping it will help. I've been stretching and everything, but it's still really tight/sore. Hopefully the heat will do it some good.
As a result of the soreness, normal exercise has sort of been out of the picture, but my mom and I hit the Promenade (fancy name for the new high end outdoor shopping center that opened last year) the other day to get some fresh air and get a decent amount of walking in. (And I found two super cute sweaters on sale at New York & Company!) Really it was a win-win situation.
And yesterday we got some heavy lifting in cleaning out my closet, which hasn't happened since freshman year of high school. Bags of old clothes and shoes are heavy!
I hope everyone has a fabulous New Years with lots of fun and friends!

Happy New Years, Jess. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think you and I may be in the same boat! My right calf was a bit sore yesterday when I went into my 5K...and super stiff today!
ReplyDeleteI may be attempting a half marathon this may, since it is in the city I live in. If successful, and if I want to try another, I will go for one in the fall. I have a few in mind!
Good luck with your decision... happy new year, Jess!
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year. I tend to write the same resolutions every year. At least this year I can officially cross off the exercise one!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy. The soreness is normal as long as you don't overdo it.
It's OK if you didn't come up with a resolution. Too many people break them anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great '08! I hope that hamstring recovers soon!
Happy New Year!! I'm glad to see that you are back. Now I just need a swift kick in the butt to get my act together. :-)
