Mega-tailgate Take 2 and Terps Beat WVU
On Saturday, the Terps played West Virginia at Ravens stadium up in Baltimore. Our tickets to the game were included as part of our season ticket package, which of course meant, we were all heading up to Baltimore to tailgate on Saturday morning.
Gotta love the photo-bombs in this pic
The football gods blessed up with a 3:30 start time, so we were in the parking lots by 10:30 a.m. for five hours of epic tailgating.
For games that we play at pro stadiums, we combine five or six of our regular tailgates from College Park into one mega-tailgate.
This isn't even close to everyone that was there, but it's the best we could do at getting a whole group shot.
The tailgate was excellent beginning to end. Everyone had a great time, there was so much food we didn't know what to do with it and most importantly, it didn't start torrential down pouring until we were actually at the game.
By the end of the second quarter I was soaked to the bone, but I almost didn't care because we were beating WVU 30-0. The final game score was 37-0 -- it was the first time we'd beat WVU in more than a decade and it makes the Terps 4-0 on the season -- the first time that's happened since 2001.
We have a bye this week and then travel to Florida State the first weekend in October. Maybe miracles will happen.
Either way, so far it's been a fun season to be a Terp fan.
