Marine Corps Marathon Weekend
It's MCM Weekend, one of my favorite weekends in DC.
Spectating with Megan a few years ago
I've been spectating or running this race for the last four or five years and it's hands down one of the most fun races to be involved with.
Last year was my first time actually running MCM, and though I didn't do very well (probably because I was running on a stress fracture that I wasn't aware I had...) I still loved the course and the experience (except perhaps those dreadful stretches of boring highway after mile 20).

MCM is one of the most spectator-friendly races out there. Because the course doubles back on itself a lot, it's easier for spectators to walk just a few blocks to see their runners a few miles later. And Metro makes it fairly easy to get around to other spots on the course.
This year I'm planning to spectate again from my usual spot on the bridge on Independence Ave. It's right after runners come off the boring stretch of miles on Hains Point and could use a boost.
If you're running make sure to look for me. I'll have my bright red "You Run Better than Metro" sign.
Are you running MCM this weekend?

Not running MCM but some of my D.C. friends are! Got a flavor for the course as I flew down from MI last weekend to do the Army Ten-Miler.
