A Quick Trip to Cleveland
Hey party people. I'm coming to you from the Cleveland airport. I've been in the Cleve since Tuesday for a work conference, and while the trip has been cool, I'm so ready to get home.
Normally, when I'm in a new city, I use the opportunity to see as much as possible on foot (usually while on a run). That's what I did in Memphis, but my schedule in Cleveland didn't lend itself to very many running opportunities.
I set my alarm super early to fit in my run on Wednesday before work stuff started, but it was pitch black outside, and I reallllly don't like running in the dark in places I'm not familiar with. At home, I know which neighborhoods are decently safe. In a new city, not so much.
So I just shut off the alarm and went back to sleep. Won't lie, that extra hour was glorious.
My new plan was to fit in a run after the afternoon sessions, but before my group project call for my MBA class. There ended up not being enough time. Sigh.
And today, work stuff started at 7:15 a.m. so running before all that was just not an option.
So my plan to check out Cleveland while on a run just didn't happen. Luckily, I had a little bit of time Tuesday when I got to town to walk around in the evening. I saw the Browns' stadium and some pretty views of Lake Erie near the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
But mainly, I just saw the inside of the conference center and my hotel room. It wasn't as cool as my Memphis trip, but I learned a lot and had a pretty decent time. I will be happy to curl up in my own bed tonight though.

I actually loved going to Cleveland last year, Kelley and I would go back in a heartbeat. So much fun! Go to an Indians game if you ever get the chance.
